Our Cemetery

Curlew Hills is proud to be home to one of Florida’s most picturesque cemeteries. What started more than 30 years ago as a lush orange grove is now the pristine setting of our perpetual cemetery.

Our cemetery is 30 sprawling acres of old majestic oak trees, native foliage and annual flowering scrubs. It features beautiful fountains and magnificent statues. In the Spring the blooming azaleas provide a colorful backdrop and in the Summer the large oaks provide a cool canopy.

A very special section of our cemetery that opened in 2012 is our 9/11 Memorial. Clearly one of the emotional highlights of our cemetery, this memorial features a twisted piece of steel beam that was once part of the World Trade Center. The memorial also features an eternal flame which burns 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. This site is dedicated to all those who bravely lost their lives on that tragic day in 2001. Each year we hold a special ceremony on 9/11 to commemorate this day in history.

Curlew Hills’ also features unique sections which cater to a multitude of cultures and beliefs. For example, in 2009 we opened our Hellenic Section of the cemetery, which adheres to all the traditional Greek customs. This section of Curlew Hills Memory Gardens features a traditional archway entrance with a special commemorative plaque and impressive Greek columns. There are a limited number of sites still available for personal family chapels.

With acres of burial space remaining, Curlew Hills will be serving future generations for years to come as we maintain our commitment to keep Curlew Hills one of the region's most picturesque and well-maintained cemeteries.
